Privacy Policy

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy for Therapy with Athena 2025

Therapy with Athena maintains client privacy and confidentiality. The policy is definied by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016 and UK Data Protection 2018.

To provide therapy services the following data is needed from you:

Name and date of birth

Email address to send virtual session links

Personal Data

To have contact and offer therapy sessions your name, age and contact details are required.

Clinical notes are kept from each session, this is to document the CBT session plan, topics of discussion and CBT therapy skills that have been used. 

Your data is kept on a personal computer that is password protected and not shared.

Your information will be deleted following completion of sessions. 

External Supervision is a requirement of the BABCP to ensure the standard and ethics of therapy being recieved. Your name will not be shared with external supervision.  

Client and Therapist Contract

You will be required to sign a client and therapist contract before starting therapy sessions, which outlines the expectations of therapy and further information on confidentiality.
